AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING
OF A PORTION OF.A DEDICATED STREET -BETWEEN LOT.6,
BLOCK 3, . AND LOT 1, BLOCK 4, CUCHIA. ADDITION BE
ABANDONED AND -CLOSED,
WHEREAS, the owners of the property in the Cuchia Addi—
tion.to The City of Beaumont have requested that a portion of a
dedicated street between Lot,6, Block 3, and Lot 11, Block 4,.
Cuchia Addition, be vacated and closed,.as they are desirous of
making a replat of such Addition, said -portion of the dedicated
street being described as follows:

Beginning -at the Southwest' corner of Block 3 of
the Cuchia Addition, according to -the -plat of said
Addition recorded in the office of the County
Clerk, Jefferson County, Texas, said point-also-
being

being the Southwest corner of Lot 6 of said Block
3;
Thence North along the said West line of Block 3
and the west line of said Lot 6 one hundred five
and five tenths .-(-105.5.) -feet, more or less, to the
Northwest corner of said Block 3 and said Lot 6,
said point being on the South line of the College
Terrace Addition to The City of Beaumont;
Thence West along the North line of said Block 3
.produced or the said South line of the College.Ter—
race Addition fifty (50) feet to_the Northeast
corner of Block 4. Cuchia Addition;
Thence South along the East -line of said Block 4
one hundred five and five tenths (105.5) feet, more
or less, to the Southeast corner of said Block 4;
Thence East along the South line of said Block 4
produced fifty (50) feet to the place ofbeginning;
WHEREAS, the said proposal has been referred to the City
Planning and Zoning Commission for study, investigation, and
recommendation to the 'City Council as to whether such proposal
should be approved, and the City Planning and Zoning Commission
has thoroughly studied and investigated said proposal and recom—
mended to the City Council that the approval of the said proposal
would be to the best interest and benefit of the public, and
that.said proposal should, therefore, be approved; and,
: WHEREAS, it is:for.the best interest of The City of Beau-
mont and benefit of the public that this portion of ..the above—
described street -in the Cuchia Addition be vacated and closed;
NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT -ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF-BEAUMONT:
That the portion of the dedicated street in the Cuchia-Addition
above described be and.the same is hereby authorizedto be
vacated and closed, and that the'titlp to said vacated and
Closed portion of this street shall revert to and become the
property of the owners of the land abutting on -said vacated
and closed portion of said street, as provided by law..
