ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
SECTION OF ROBERTS AVENUE OUT OF COLLEGE ACRES
EXTENSION ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEF.-
FERSON COUNTY: TEXAS., LYING WEST OF INTERSTATE
HIGHWAY No. 10 AND EAST OF THE OLD ABANDONED
HILL.EBRANDT BAYOUS FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS., a petition has been presented to the City Council
of The City of Beaumont., signed by the owners of all of the prop-
erty abutting that section of Roberts Avenue out of the College
Acres Extension Addition to The City -of Beaumontl Jefferson County
Texas, and lying West of Interstate Highway No. 10 and East of the
Old Abandoned Hillebrandt Bayou, and being more fully described as
�follows� to wit:.

Being an irregular section of said street out of the
College Acres Extension Addition to The City of Beau-
mont., Jefferson County., Texas, and lying West of In-
terstate Highway No. 10 and East of the Old Abandoned
Hillebrandt Bayou and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING. at a point in the West line of Interstate
Highway No. 10 and in the North line of Roberts Ave-
nue;
THENCE South 89 degrees 17 minutes West along North
line of Roberts Avenue a distance of 24.84 feet to
point for corner in East right-of-way line of Old
Abandoned Hillebrandt Bayou;
THENCE South 07 degrees 17 minutes 21 seconds West
along East right--of--way line of Old Abandoned Hille-
brandt Bayou a distance of 60.59 feet to point for
corner in South line of Roberts Avenue;
THENCE.North 89 degrees 17 minutes.East along South
line of Roberts Avenue to intersection with West
right--of.-way line of Interstate Highway No. 10;
THENCE in a Northerly direction with the West right-
of-way line of 'Interstat-e Highway No. 10 to the place
of beginning;
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is to the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that
the above described section of Roberts Avenue be vacated and aban-
doned;

NOW,, THEREFORE9 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT�
TEXAS:
That that section .of Roberts Avenue above described be,. and the
same is hereby., authorized to be vacated and abandoned., and that
title to said vacated and abandoned section of Roberts,Avenue shall
revert to and become the .property of the parties entitled thereto,
as.provided by law.
