APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE "ANNUAL APPROPRIATION
ORDINANCE't, ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FIS-
CAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1962 AND ENDING JUNE 30,
1963, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT; APPORTIONING THE FUNDS OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT; REPEALING ALL. ORDINANCES OR.PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of The City of Beaumont has sub-
mitted to the City Council a budget estimate of the revenues of
said City and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof for the
ensuing fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1962 and ending June 30, 1963,
and which said estimate has been compiled from detailed information
obtained from the several departments, divisions and offices of the
City, containing all of the information as required by the Charter
of The City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Managerts
estimate and is of the opinion that the same should be approved and
adopted as required by the Charter of The City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORD.A,INED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the budget estimate of the revenues of The City of
Beaumont and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof for the
ensuing fiscal year, beginning July -I, 1962 and ending June 30, 1963,
as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager of said City,
be, and the same is, in all things adopted and approved as the budget
estimate of all of the current expenses as well as the fixed charges
against said City for the fiscal year beginning the 1st day .of July,
1962 and ending the 30th day of June, 1963.
Section 2.
That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund
the sum of $5,632,198.00 for the following purposes:

That there is hereby appropriated out of the following
funds the sums indicated and for the purposes states:

(b) Temperance Hall Fund:

That there is hereby appropriated out of the Water Works
Revenue Fund the sum of $1,6755173.00 for the following purposes:

Debt Service ......................... 687,481.00

Payment to General Fund .............. 250,000.00

Section 5.
That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Debt
Service Fund the sum of $960,868.00 for the purpose of paying the
accrued interest on bonds, redeeming time warrants as they mature,
and paying interest thereon:

Warrant Maturities ................... 14,350.00
Warrant Interest Requirements........ 1,722.00
