AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING,AND ABANDONING THAT
PORTION OF A DEDICATED BUT UNNAMED STREET LYING
NORTH AND PERPENDICULAR TO THE PRESENT COLLEGE
STREET AND EXTENDING FROM THE NORTH RIGHT--OF--WAY
LINE OF COLLEGE STREET TO T&NO RAILROAD RIGHT OF
WAY, FULLY DESCRIBED'.HEREIN, IN THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the City Council
of The City of Beaumont, signed by the owner of all of the property
hereinafter described, in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, requesting that said portion of said street be vacated and
abandoned, said portion of said street being more fully described
as follows, to wit.:

All that portion of a dedicated but unnamed street
lying North and perpendicular to the present College
Street (U.S. Highway 90), and extending from the
North right. -of. -way line of said College Street (U.S.
Highway 90) to T&NO Railroad right of way; said
street is located between Block Forty. -two (42) and
Forty-three (43), as well as between Block Forty --six
(46) and Forty. -seven (47) of the T. H. Langham Sub-
division, as same is shown by plat thereof, filed in
Volume 1, Page. 17 of the Map Records of Jefferson
County, Texas;
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is to the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that
the above described portion of said street be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That the portion of said above described street be, and the same is
hereby, authorized to be vacated and abandoned, and that title to
said vacated:-,, and abandoned portion of said street shall revert to
and become the property of the parties entitled thereto, as provided
by law.
