AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-2 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS; PRE-
SCRIBING A PERMIT FEE FOR THE INSTALLATION.OF
METAL CANS, STORAGE TANKS, AND PUMPS; PRESCRIB-
ING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Section 13-2 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
ttSec. 13-2. Storage of inflammables .- permit, fees.
ttAll metal cans, storage tanks and pumps shall be in-
stalled in a standard manner as provided by the rules
of the National Board of Fire Underwriters and shall
be installed only after a permit has been obtained
from the city council and under the direction of the
city engineer and the fire chief. The fees for such
permits shall be as follows:

Section 2.
Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a
fine in the sum of not less than one ($1.00) dollar nor more than
two hundred ($200.00) dollars for each violation of any provision
of this ordinance, and each day of the continuance of such violation
shall constitute a separate offense and be punishable as such here-
under.
Section 3
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitu-
tional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such section, sub-
section, sentence, clause, phrase or portion shall be deemed a
separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereof.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or con-
trary hereto are hereby repealed.
