ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING AN
ALLEY IN BLOCK 10, AND THAT PORTION OF CARROLL
STREET LYING BETWEEN THE NORTH LINE OF TOLTEC
STREET AND THE NECHES RIVER, BOTH IN NECHES RIVER
PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, a petition has'been,presented to the City Coun-
cil of The City of Beaumont, signed by the owner of all of the
property abutting the alley in Block 10, Neches River Park Addition,
hereinafter described, and that portion of Carroll Street lying
between Toltec Street and the Neches River, in Neches River Park
Addition, hereinafter described, requesting that said alley and
said portion of Carroll Street be vacated and abandoned, said alley
and portion of Carroll Street being more fully described as follows,
to wit:
and,
That certain alley through Block 10 of the Neches
River Park Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jef-
ferson County, Texas, extending from Carroll Street
westward to Herring Street, abutting the north lines
of Lots 1 through 12 and the south lines of Lots 13
through 24 of said Block 10;
That portion of Carroll Street a$ now established
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
lying between the north line of Toltec Street and
the Neches River, the said north line of Toltec
Street being parallel with and sixty (60) feet dis-
tant from the south line of Toltec Street as estab-
lished through Blocks 2 and 9 of the Neches River
Park Addition to The City of Beaumont, extended
eastward;
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is to the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public
that the above described alley and portion of Carroll Street be
vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the alley in Block 10, above described, and that portion of
Carroll Street above described, be, and the same are hereby, author.-
- iced to be vacated and abandoned, and that title to said vacated

and abandoned alley and portion of Carroll Street shall revert to
and become the property of the parties entitled thereto, as pro-
vided by-law.
