AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE.STATE OF TEXAS,
QUITCLAIMING ALL OF THE CITYtS INTEREST IN.,A,ND TO 0.407
ACRE OF LAND IN THE A. WILLIAMS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 385,
IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, SAME
BEING A PORTION.OF THE ABANDONED T&NO RAILROAD RIGHT
OF WAY, ADJACENT AND PARALLEL TO THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
COMBEST PARK IN BLOCK 15, MINGLEWOOD ADDITION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE, CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the Mayor be,'and he is hereby authorized to execute and de-
liver for and on behalf of The City of,Beaumont a quitclaim deed,,
quitclaiming to the State of Texas all of the Cityts interest in
and to the following described tract or parcel of land, to wit:
0.407 of one acre of land, more or less, in the A.
Williams Survey, Abstract 385, in the City of Beau•»
mont, Jefferson County, Texas, same being a portion
of the abandoned T&NO Railroad right of way, said
0.407 of one acre, more or less, being 50.0 feet wide
and 354.70 feet long, adjacent and parallel to the
southwest line of that certain tract described as Com-
best Park in Block 15, Minglewood Addition, as recorded
in Volume 7, Page 70, Map Records of Jefferson County,
Texas, same being conveyed to Ross Combest by Eley A.
Blanchette and Lloyd M. Blanchette by deed dated Febru-
ary .20, 1947 and recorded in Volume 653, Page 458 of the
Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, said. 0.407 of
one acre, more or less,being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the northeast,
right of way line of the T&NO Railroad and the southeast
right of way line of Blackmon Lane;
THENCE South 41° 181 East, with the northeast right of
way line of the T&NO Railroad and the southwest line of
the Combest Park tract, a distance of 354.70 feet to a
point for corner 6n the south line of the Combest Park
tract;
THENCE South 48 ° i.42 t West, a distance of 50.0 feet -to a
point for corner on the centerline of the T&NO Railroad
right of way;
THENCE North 410 18? West, with the centerline of the
T&NO Railroad right of way, a distance of 354.70 feet to
a point for corner;
THENCE North 48' 421 East, a distance of 50.0 feet to the
point of beginning;
and the City. Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said instrument
and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
