AN. ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CLOSING AND ABANDONING
OF OTEY STREET, FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, IN THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS®
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of all of the prop.-
erty abutting on Otey Street in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, has been presented to the City Council of The City of
Beaumont, requesting that Otey Street be vacated and .abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, said petition has been referred to the City Planning
and Zoning Commission for examination and approval, and the same has
been.approved by said Commission; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is to the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that
Otey Street be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That Otey Street, more particularly described as.follows:
That certain forty (40.) foot wide street right. of way
known as Qtey Street, extending from Butlin Street on
the north to Brockman Street on the South and lying on
the west side of Lots 6 and 7, Block 1, and the east
side of Lots 1 and 8, Block 2, all in the Glover -Anderson
Addition to. The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
said vacated and abandoned street shall revert to and become the prop-
erty of the parties entitled thereto,.as provided by law-
