PASSED by the City Council this -?-/ day of March, A. D. -- Mayor -- No Text Jr ARTHUR • 0 Wd & SOP. O. BOX 529 • BEAUMONT, TEXAS N. INC. fro b'o City Council,. City Hall Beaumont, Texas <r^` Attention: Mr. Jim Garrard Gentlemen: WAREHOUSE & OFFICE 1650 BROCKMAN STREET Jan. 24, 1961 TE 5-4549" This corporation is the -ow er of Block 2 of the Glover Anderson Addition. In 1946-3 at our request, an ordinance was passed closing the alley which runs in an east - west direction through the center of this block, however, it is our understanding that a. utility easement was retained at that time by this ordinance. We now wish to expand our warehouse and it would be decidely to our advantage if this alley could be abandoned or some arrangements made whereby we could erect a building which would be partially upon this alley. We understand that it may be possible to accomplish this. There is only a sanitary sewer in this alley which terminates at the end of our property and serves only our property. We would be willing to bear the expense of closing off this sewer extension ourselves. To the best of our knowledge, all of the utilities are in the street and the only service in the alley is this sewer and since we are the only abutting property owners, we hope it will be possible to abandon this as it does not appear that it could be extended across the T & NO Railroad tracks to the west of us since it is at a very high level at the end of our property. Your favorable action in this regard will be greatly appreciated. We will be glad to furnish any additional information you may require at any time. :,,. G ,, .,,•; Very truly yours, 6St1 unrr1cd US 5oG¢!i{csrcr. tie/!76-1e:pEro.2 etl<y wd'Y-e,r bop" rl_v('('a.ai Arthur Rhew Dooley ARD:ma Z.z7 -4. 1 . 17*1ercH sAiowWa )PROPO-Y4D ABANDONMENTiVALLE TW 1w.
