AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE GIVING THE CONSENT OF THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT, TEXAS, TO MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
AND. SO AUTHORIZING MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE RAILROAD TRACKS
IN AND ACROSS THE ALLEYS IN BLOCK 13 AND BLOCK 14,
VAN WORMER 2ND ADDITION, AND IN AND ACROSS TWELFTH
STREET AND WEST CEDAR STREET IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS®
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont has entered into a contract
with Missouri Pacific Railroad Company involving the relocation of
said railroad company's main line between a point just east of Eliza-
beth to a point east of Eleventh Street in Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with such relocation, it will be
necessary that Missouri. Pacific Railroad Company cross certain streets
and alleys in relocating tracks to be retained and constructed for
the-scrviing of industries between Eleventh and Sixteenth Streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That The City of Beaumont, Texas, hereby gives its consent to Mis-
souri Pacific Railroad Company, its successors, assigns, lessees,
licensees and invitees, and so authorizes Missouri Pacific Railroad
Company to construct, maintain, repair, operate and use railway
tracks in and across the alleys in Block 13 and Block 14, Van Wormer
2nd Addition, and Twelfth Street and West Cedar Street, in The City
of Beaumont, Texas, at all points where Missouri Pacific Railroad
Company's right of way crosses over such alleys and streets in the
construction of such tracks -to be used for serving industries between
Eleventh and Sixteenth Streets.
