TO THE BACK OF THE PRESENT WEST CURB OF NORTH PEARL.
STREET, WHICH IS ALSO 27.58 FEET WEST OF.THE CENTERLINE
OF THE PRESENT. PAVEMENT OF NORTH PEARL STREET, SAID
PORTION ABUTTING_ BLOCKS D AND C-OUT OF A 2.77-ACRE
TRACT, OUT OF.A 22®ACRE TRACT, SUBDIVISION NO. 3, NO'AH
TEVIS LEAGUE, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, SUCH 2.77-ACRE
TRACT BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THAT CERTAIN
DEED DATED JUNE 25, 1902, OF RECORD IN VOL. 67, PAGE
2368 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of all of the property
described as Blocks D and C out of a 2.77-acre tract, out of a 22-acre
tract, Subdivision No. 3, Noah Tevis League, Jefferson County, Texas,
such 2.77-acre tract being more particularly described in that certain
partition deed dated June 25; 1902, of record in Vol. 67, page 236 of
the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, has been presented to the
City Council of The City of Beaumont requesting that that portion of
Braun Alley west of a line nine feet from and parallel to the present
west curb of North Pearl Street, which is also 27.58 feet west of the
centerline of the present pavement of North Pearl Street, said portion
abutting Blocks'D and C. as above described, be vacated and abandoned;
and,
WHEREAS, said petition has.been referred to the City. Planning
and Zoning Commission for examination and.approval, and the same has
been approved by said Commission; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to.the City Council that it is. to the best
interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that the
above mentioned portion of Braun Alley be.vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That that portion of Braun .Alley west of a line nine feet from and par-
allel to the back of the present west curb of North Pearl Street, which
is also 27.58 feet west of the centerline of the present pavement of
North Pearl Street, said portion abutting Blocks D and C out of a 2.77W
acre tract, out of a 22=acre tract; Subdivision No. 31 Noah Tevis
League, Jefferson County, Texas, such 2.77-acre tract being more parti-
cularly described in that certain -partition deed dated June 25, 1902,
of record in Vol. 67, page 236 of,the Deed Records of.,Jefferson County,
Texas® be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that all
easements heretofore existing upon this portion of said alley are hereby
released and extinguished,' and that the title to said portion of said
vacated and abandoned alley shall,revert to and become the property of
the part; entitled thereto, as provided by law.
