AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE "ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDI-
NANCE'" ADOPTING -.A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING .DULY 11 1958 AND .ENDING DUNE . 301 1959, IN
ACCORDANCE.WITH THE CHARTER OF.THE CITY OF BEAUMONT;
APPORTIONING.THE.FUNDS OF THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of The City 'of Beaumont has sub-
mitted to the City Council a budget estimate of the revenues of said
City and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof for the en-
suing fiscal year, beginning July 11 1958 and ending June 30, 1959,
and which said estimate has been compiled from detailed information
obtained from the several departments, divisions and offices of the
City, containing all of the information as required by the Charter of
The City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's
estimate.and is of the opinion that the same should be approved and
adopted as required by the Charter of The City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the budget estimate of the revenues of The City of Beau-
mont and the e x penses of conducting the affairs thereof for the en-
suing fiscal year, beginning July 1, 19.58 and ending June 30, 1959,
as submitted to the City Council by the.City Manager of said City, be,
and the same is, in all things adopted and approved as the budget
estimate of all of the current expenses as well as the fixed charges
against said City for the fiscal year beginning the 1st day of July,
1958 and ending the 30th day of June, 1959.
Section 2.
That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund the
sum of $3,847,469.00 for the following purposes:
Operations.........................$3,8331807.00
Contingency Appropriation 13,662.00
Section 3..
That there is hereby appropriated out of the following funds
the sums indicated and for the purposes stated:
(a) Grand -Pine Revenue Fund:

Total.........$ 60F740.00
(b) Sewer Revenue Fund:
Operations ........ .......... ..$ 320,332.00

(c) Temperance Hall Fund:
Library and Charities.........$ 69,000.00
Section 4.
That there is hereby appropriated out of the Water Works
Revenue Fund the sum of $1,238,393 for the following purposes:
Operations ....................$ 5954,479.00
Debt Service ................... 3800,554.00
Bond Reserve Fund ............. 62,360.00
Transfer to General Fund...... 2001*000.00
Total .......... $1, 238, 393.00
Section 5.
That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Debt,
Service Fund the sum of $11154,948.00 for the purpose of paying the
accruing interest and redeeming the serial bonds as they mature, to
wit:
Bonded Debt Requirements ...... $1,134,039.00
Warrant Requirements..........- 20,909.00
Section 6.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances -in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
