AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING OFFER
OF ALBERT WILSON TO PURCHASE
CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AUTHORI-
ZING PROPER CITY OFFICERS TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER QUITCLAIM
DEED TO PURCHASER OF SAME,
PREAMBLE
01HEREAS, on the 1st day of December; A.D., 19443, the City of
Beaumont recovered a tax judgment against Addie Davis and the un-
known heirs and legal representatives of Addie Davis, deceased, and
the foreclosure of a tax lien upon the following described property,
to -wait.
Lot 8, in Block 4, of the Clay Morris
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jeffer-
son County, Texas, as per map or plat of
said addition of record in the office of
the County Clerk, Jefferson County, Texas;
and,
rr'HEREAS, on the 6th day of March, A.D. , 1945, the City of Beau-
mont purchased said abovedescribed property at public auction in
satisfaction of said judgment and tax lien; and,
WHEREAS on the 23rd day of March, A.D., 1945, W. ?'d. Richardson;
Sheriff of J6fferson County, Texas, made, executed and deli.vered unto
the City of Beaumont a tax deed to the above. described property in
satisfaction of said judgment and tax lien, which deed was recorded
in Volo 577, page 605 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas,
on the 4th day of June, A.D. , 1945; and,,
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of March, A.D. , 194,8, Albert ;Milson
offered to purchase all of the right, title, interest, claim, estate
and demand of the City of Beaumont in the above... -described property
for the sum of Two Hundred, Ten and 00/100 ($210.00) Dollars; and,
Z,�HEREAS, the City Commission is of the opinion that such sale
is for the best interest of the City of Beaumont and should be consum-
mated;
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Commission of the City
of Beaixmont,'that the aforesaid offer to purchase the above described
property is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Beaumont
a quitclaim deed conveying unto ALBERT ?WILSON all of -the right, title,
interest, claim, estate and demand of the City of Beaumont in the
above described property derived by reason of said Sheriff's deed.
