AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND
CLOSING -OF THAT PORTION OF MARKET S TREE T LYING
BETWEEN FORSYTHE AND CYPRESS. S.TREE TS IN THE.
CITY OF--BEAUMON.T.- -
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of- Beamont has
proposed -that that portion ' of Market Street- lying between ,For-
sythe -and_- Cypress Streets -in the City of :Beaumont should'be
vacated and closed. in - order to promote the ' best_ interest and
benefit of the public; and,
WHEREAS, the said proposal'h,as;'been referred to the
City Planning -.and Zoning Commission for study,'.investigation;
and recommendation.to the City Council as to whether such'pro-
posal should -be approved,'and,the-City Planning and Zoning
Commission has thoroughly studied and investigated said proposal,
and recommended to_ the:: City_ ° - Council that the- approval of the
said proposal would be .to -the best interest and benefit of the
public, and that .said proposal ,should., therefore, be approved;
and,
WHEREAS, it is ' for. the best interest of The City of
Beaumont and benefit of the public.'that,the above-mentioned
portion of Market Street be vacated and closed;
NOW,. THE RE FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF. BEAUMONT:
That the portion of Market Street lying between - Forsythe -and
Cypress Streets in' the City -of Beaumont -be and the same is hereby
authorized to be vacated and closed, and -that -the title to said
vacated and closed portion of Market Street shall revert to and
become the property of -.the owners of the. land abutting on said
vacated and closed portion of said Market Street, as provided by
law. •
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
this day of April, A.D. 1948.

benefit of the public; and,
TJERGAS, the said proposal has been referred to the
City Planning and Zoning Commission for study, investigation,
and recommendation to the City Council as to whether such pro-
posal should be approved, and the City Planning and Zoning
Corrmission has thoroughly studied and investigated said proposal,
andreco=ended to the_ -City Council that the approval of the
said proposal would be to the best interest and benefit of the
public, and that said proposal should, therefore, be approved;
and,
