BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COIQdISSION
OF .THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Article 70-3 (f) of the Code of the City of Beaumont, be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
i Section 1
Article 70-3 (f) . 'Applicants for all buildings, struc-
tures or alterations which require a building permit as
set forth in this capter shall at the time of filing
application, pay the fee as required in the following
schedule:
1. Buildings or Structures.
(a) Where the valuation does not exceed $25.00,
no.fee shall be required, unless an inspection is
required, in which case, there shall be.a one
dollar (.11.00) fee.
(b) For total valuation of y$'25.00 and above, the
fee -shall be two-tenths (0.2).of one per cent (1%)
of the estimated cost, but in no case shall any .
fee be less than one dollar 01.00).
2. Moving of Buildings or Structures.
(a) For a permit to move a building through or
across any public street, alley or highway, a fee
of two and one-half cents per square foot of the
overall area of the building or structure shall
be required, but in no case shall the fee be less
than 05.00.
3. Miscellaneous Fees.
(a) For a permit for the erecting of signs,.
billboards, boilers, elevators, air conditioning
systems, and bake ovens, where same are not in-
cluded in new building, there shall be a fee at
the same rate as the fee set forth for Buildings
or Structures in .Article 70-3 (f) 1.

Separability* and Savings Clause: If any section,
sub -section, sentence,.clause,-phrase, or --portion of
this ordinance is for any reason held invalid -or un-
constitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction,
such section, sub -section, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and inde-
pendent provision and such holdings shall not affect
the validity or constitutionality of the remaining
portion thereof.
Section 3
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or
contrary hereto are hereby expressly repealed.
