QUITCLAIM DEED TO PURCHASER OF SAME,; PREAMBLE WHEREAS-, on the 8th day of ' November, A. of Beaumont reeovered'a tax judgment against Gertrude Henry and Will Henry in the sum of eight and 40/100 ($178.40) Dollars, together the date of said judgment and costs and the lien upon the following described properAy, D.,1935, -the City Jerry Arline, One Hundred,Seventy- with interest from foreclosure of a tax to -wit: Being Lot One (1)9 Block Three -(3), of the -Clay Morris Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, -as per map or plat of said Addition of record in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, ---Texas, and deeds of record. in Vol. 236, page 136 and Vol. 212, -page 17 of the deed records in - office of said County Clerk, and; - WHEREAS, on the -4th day -of February, A. D.,19360 the City_ of Beaumont purchased said above-described property at public auction in satisfaction of said judgment and tax lien, and; WHEREAS, on the 11th day of February, A. -D., 19361 W. W. Richardson, Sheriff of Jefferson -County, Texas, made, executed and delivered unto the City of Beaumont a tax deed to the above described property in satisfaction of'said judgment and tax -lien. -which deed was recorded in Vol. 413 page 398, of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, on the 21st day of March, A. D., 1936, and, WHEREAS, on the 7th day of December, A. D., 1946,Jerry Arline offered to purchase all of the right, title, interest, claim, estate and demand of the City of Beaumont in the above described property for the sum of Three Hundred, Thirty-three and 03/100 (4333.05) Dollars; and, WHEREAS, the said Jerry Arline paid to to'City of Beaumont the sum of Three Hundred, Thirty-three and 03/100 ($333.03) Dollars as earnest money in connection with said offer to pur- chase the -above de -ser -4 -bed- property;- and,_ WHEREAS, the City -Commission is of the opinion that such sale is for the best interest of the City of Beaumont and should be consummated; • :J Nov, therefore, be it ordained by the City Commission of the City of Beaumont, that the aforesaid offer to purchase the above described property is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk ar e'hereby authorized to execute and deliver an behalf of the City of Beaumont a quitclaim deed conveying unto Jerry ,Arline all of the right, title, interest, claim, estate and demand of the City of Beaumont in the above described property derived by reason of said Sheriff's deed.
