CITY OFFICERS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A TRANSFER OF THE SAME _ _ PREAMBLE Whereas,..on the 17th day of -October, A. D.91946, the City of Beaumont recovered a .tax judgment against Stephen k. -Gallagher in th-e amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-three and 92/100 Dollars ($1,473.92), together with foreclosure of its tax lien for the years 1930, 19319 1932, 1933, 1934919359 1938, 19399' 1940, 1941, 19429 1943 & 1944 upon the following described property, to -wit:. Lot Six (6), in Block One (1), of the Ellis Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as per -map or plat of said addition of record in the office of the County Clerk of said County; and Whereas, said judgment is entitled to a credit of Sixty Dollars ($60.00), leaving a balance owing on said judgment of One Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen.and 92/100 Dollars ($1,413.92); and,- WherOas., the First National Bank of , Beaumont . has offered to . purchase --all -of -the right, title,- interest.,...- cla.im,._es_tate -and demand of the City of Beaumont in and to the above described judgment for the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen and 92/100 Dollars ($1,413.92); and, Whereas, the City Commission.is of -the opinion that such sale is for the best interest of the City of Beaumont and should be consummated; Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Commission of the City of Beaumont: That the aforesaid offer to purchase'the above described judgment is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Beaumont a transfer and assignment coriveyirng- bdto ­the--First--National--Bank--of--Beaumont. all- of the right, interest, title, claim, estate and demand of the City of Beaumont in the above described judgment, without recourse upon the City of Beaumont.
