An ordinance to vacate an alley in the Elvina Addition will
be presented to the City Comission for the third readings Tuesday.
It bias come to my attention that the description of this alley
is incorrectly wkitten in the ordinance.
The description should read as follows:
that certain alley in the said Elvina Addition running in a
Northerly and Southerly.direction and bordered on the West by
Lot Fourteen (14) and on the East .by Lots Fifteen (15); Uxteen
(16), Seventeen (17) and EighTeen (18).
It is requested that you notify the Legal Department of the
error in this description in order that it may be corrected
before the next City Commission.meeting.

Enclosed you will find an original and a carbon copy
( for your file) of my petition to the Mayor and the Members of the
City Council of the City of Beaumont to close the alley laying between
the east side of lot Fourteen (14) and the west ends of lots Fifteen
(15) ; Sixteen (16) Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) Elvina Addition
to the City of Beaumont. See attached sketch of this block.
Ir_ connection with the closing of the above described alley, I
wish to call your attention that on June .3, 19304 the Beaumont City
Council by ordinance closed the alley behind lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 Elvina Addition. You will find this ordinance
recorded in volume 6 Page 734 of the Minutes of Ordinances of the
City of Beaumont.
I would appreciate it, very much, if you will immediately
start this petition through the proper channels and press it for a
prompt passage through the City Council. then this petition has been
formally and finally passed by your City Council, I would appreciate
it if you would send me a certified copy of the ordinance, so that I
may have it recorded in the Jefferson County Court House. If possible,
I would also appreciate it, if you would make and send to me a couple
