HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 78-95w 9] 7? 6e, wp tau` qj 1c1--/Q"V 0'7 0w ORDINANCE No. '�(� ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE OODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICA'T'ED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY CHANGING A 10.61 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE DAVID BROWN SURVEY, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, PRESENTLY ZONED "I-1" TO "C-1;" BY CHANGING A 15.7: ACRE '' TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE DAVID BROWN SURVEY, JEF- FERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, PRESENTLY ZONED "I-1" TO "R-2'" PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. THAT Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following described tract of.land presently zoned "I-1," Light Industrial' District, to "C-1," Neighborhood Commercial District, to wit: BEING a tract of land described as all of Tract 33A and the eastern 1090 feet of Tract 33, Plat C-5, David Brown Survey, Jefferson County, Texas, as measured along the southern boundary line of said Tract 33, and containing 10.61 acres of land more or less and the official Zoning Map of the City of .Beaumont is hereby amended to reflect such changes. Gar -i -i nn 9 That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following.described tract of land presently zoned "I-1," Light Industrial District, to "R-2," 'TWo Family and Multiple Dwelling District, to wit: BEING a tract of land described as Lots 1 through 7, Block 33C, College Acres Extension Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and the western 1290 feet of Tract 33, David Brown Survey, Jefferson County, Texas, as measured along the southern boundary line of said Tract 33, to include Hillebrandt Bayou, all containing 15.7 acres of land more or less, and the official Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended to reflect such changes. o Section 3. That in all other respects the use of the property hereinabove described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, adopted August 19, 1958, as amended. Section 4. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of the.zoning affecting -any portion of the property described hereinafter shall be declared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the zoning of the balance of the property described herein. That if any person or corporation violating any of the tezms . °and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties provided for in said Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
