ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF BONHAM STREET LOCATED.BETWEEN
ORANGE STREET AND AVENUE A , PROVIDING THAT
A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT IS RETAINED, IN 997895
THE VAN WORMER ADDITION TO THE CITY .OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT -that certain portion of Bonham Street located between Orange Street
and Avenue A described as follows:
BEING a sixty foot (60') by three hundred foot
(3001) portion of Bonham Street.right of way
running between the west line of Orange Street
and the east line of Avenue A and being bounded
on the north by Lots 7-12, Block 40, Van Wormer
Addition, Beaumont, Texas, and on the south by
Lots 1-6, Block 45, Van Wormer Addition,
Beaumont, Texas, as per map or plat of said
addition.on file in the records of the County
Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas;
be, and the'same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the
hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained by the City
of Beaumont for general utility purposes only; title to such property,
other than the rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein, shall
revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto,
as provided by law.
