ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A TWENTY FOOT (20') BY THREE HUNDRED FOOT
(300') ALLEY IN .THE VAN WORMER ADDITION IN
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
HEREIN, PROVIDING THAT SUCH ALLEY BE RETAINED
AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TBE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain twenty foot (20') by three hundred foot (300') alley
easement described as follows:
BEING a twenty foot (20') by three hundred foot
(300') alley running in a east/west direction
and located between the west right-of-way line
of Orange Street and .the east right-of-way line
of Avenue A, and being bounded on the north by
Lots 1-6, Block 45, Van Wormer Addition, and
on the south by Lots 7-12, Block 45, Van Wormer
Addition, as per map or plat of said addition
on file in the records of the County Clerk of
Jefferson County, Texas
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to such
property shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled
thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the hereinabove
described tract of land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont
for general utility purposes only; title to such property, other than
the rights retained by.the City of Beaumont herein, shall revert to
and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, .as provided by
law.
