ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A THIRTY FOOT (30') BY ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-
SEVEN FOOT (157') ALLEY IN THE CARIWRIGHT
ADDITION IN BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING THAT SUCH
ALLEY BE RETAINED AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASE- 994019
MENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT.that certain thirty foot (30') by one hundred fifty-seven foot
(1571) alley easement described as follows:
Being a 31.90 foot alleyway in the
Cartwright Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
as recorded in Volume 9, Page 165
of the Map Records, Beaumont, Jef-
ferson County, Texas, and being
that tract of land lying West of
the West line of Lot 7, Block 56
of the said Cartwright Addition,
East of the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company East right-of-way
line, South of the South line of
Cartwright Avenue, and North of an
extension of the North line of a
20 foot alleyway along the rear of
the said Lot 7, Block 56;
be, and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to such
property shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled
thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the hereinabove
described tract of land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont
for general utility purposes only, it being the intent of this ordinance
to abandon said tract of land as an alley but to retain the said tract
for general utility purposes only; title to such property, other than
the rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein, shall revert to and
became the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law.
PASSED BY CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
