ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
PORTION OF RIVERS CIRCLE NORTHWARD FROM HOLLYWOOD
AVENUE IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMJNT:
THAT that certain portion of Rivers Circle northward from Hollywood
Avenue described as follows:
Being a sixty foot (60') by three hundred
foot (300') portion of Rivers Circle be-
ginning at a point fifty feet (50') north
of the intersection of said Rivers Circle
with the north right-of-way line of Holly-
wood Street and extending to the northern
terminus of said Rivers Circle a distance
of three hundred feet (3001),said portion
being bounded on the east by Lots 5-8,
Rivers Terrace Addition to the City of
Beaumont and also bounded on the west
by the north one-half of Lot 1 and all of
Lots 2-4, Rivers Terrace Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
as per map or plat of said addition as it
appears in Volume 8, Page 30, Map Records,
Jefferson County, Texas;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, along with any and
all associated utility easements, and that title to such property shall
revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as
provided by law; and the City of Beaumont hereby relinquishes any and
all rights, title and interest it had or may have in and to such street.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
thedayof 1978.
