ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL
PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1977, AND,
ELUDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1978, BY TRANSFERRING
$71,891.18 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND
BALANCE TO ACCOUNT NO. 98=503; $11,000
FROM ACCOUNT NO. 52-503 TO ACCOUNT NO. 98-
503; TRANSFERRING $48,000 FROM ACCOUNT NO.
42-503 TO ACCOUNT NO. 98-503; AWARDING BIDS
FOR VARIOUS VEHICLES AND. HEAVY MACHINERY;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period commencing
October 1, 1977, and ending September 30, 1978, be, and the same is
hereby, amended by transferring the sum of $71,891.18 from the unap-
propriated fund balance to Account No. 79-503. The. budget is further
amended by transferring $11,000 from Account No. 52-503 to Account No.
98-503. Said budget is further amended by transferring $48,000 from
Account No. 42-503 to Account No. 98-503.

That the bid of Tidelands International for one dual wheel
cab and chassis truck in the amount of $12,988.20 is hereby accepted
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for said
vehicle upon proper delivery.

That the bid of Beaumont White Truck Company in the amount of
$107,391 for three (3) diesel cab and chassis trucks (front loaders) is
hereby accepted and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized
to pay for said vehicles upon proper delivery.
Section 4.
That the bid of Beaumont White Truck Company in the amount of
$140,056 for four (4) diesel cab and chassis trucks (rear loaders) is
hereby accepted and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized
to pay for said vehicles upon proper delivery.
Section 5.
That the bid of Beaumont Motor Company in the amount of
$12,947.18 for two (2) heavy duty pickup trucks is hereby accepted
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for
said vehicles upon proper delivery.
That the bid of Beaumont Motor Company in the amount of
$14,006.67 for three (3) standard chassis cabs is hereby accepted
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for
said vehicles upon proper delivery.

That the bid of Hi Way Equipment Company in the amount of
$89,460.00 for one (1) truck mounted excavator is hereby accepted
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for
said vehicle., upon proper delivery.
Section 8.
That the bid of Plains Machinery Company in the amount of
$30,878.00 for one (1) pulvi-mixer is hereby accepted and the ap-
propriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for.said vehicle
upon proper delivery.

That the bid of Michel Machinery in the amount of $37,533.90
for two (2) backhoe loaders is hereby accepted and the appropriate
City official is hereby.authorized to pay for said vehicles upon
proper delivery.

That the bid of BDM Equipment Company in the amount of
$113,1.0.0.00 for three (3) street sweepers is hereby accepted and the
appropriate City official is hereby authorized to pay for said vehicles
upon proper delivery.

That the bid of Michel Machinery in the amount of $4,844.00
for two (2) trailers is hereby accepted 'and -the appropriate City of-
ficial is hereby authorized to pay for said vehicles upon proper
delivery.

That the bid of Michel Machinery in the amount of $24,528.00
for four (4) tractors is hereby accepted and the appropriate City
official is hereby authorized to pay for said vehicles upon proper
delivery.

That the bid of Oil City Tractors in the amount of $3,008.00
for four (4) rotary cutters is hereby accepted and the appropriate City
official is hereby authorized to pay for said equipment upon -proper
delivery.
Section 14.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
