ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF BEAUM= FOR THE FISCAL
PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1977, AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1978, BY ALLOCATING
AND APPROPRIATING $2,160,000 TO THE IRVING
STREET GRADE SEPARATION PROJECT NO. 071-
74-141; AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
FOR SAID PROJECT TO TROTTI AND,THOMSON,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,071,372.27; AUTH-
ORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION PROJECT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period commencing
October 1, 1977, and ending September 30,1978, be, and the same is
hereby, amended by appropriating $1,630,000 from unallocated funds,
$160,000 from the Pearl -Orleans Project, and $370,000 from the River -
front Boulevard Project to the Irving Street Grade Separation Project
No. 071-74-141.

That existing allocations for the Lamar Freeway, Pearl -
Orleans Connector, and Riverfront Boulevard Project be, and the same
are hereby, amended as follows:
1. Lamar Freeway allocation reduced from
$6,000,000 to $5,800,000.
2. Pearl -Orleans allocation reduced from
$550,000 to $390,000.
3. Riverfront Blvd. allocation reduced from
from $1,325,000 to $600,000.

That the bid of Trotti and Thomson in the amount of $3,071,372.27
for the Irving Street Grade Separation Project No. 071-74-141 be, and the
same is hereby, accepted and the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute a contract with Trotti and Thomson for said con-
struction project.
Section
Section 4.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be
invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various portions and
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
