ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL
PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1977, AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER' 30, 1978, BY TRANSFERRING
$5,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO
ACCOUNT NO. 16-509 AND AUTHORIZING THE
ANARD OF BID TO PITNEY -BOWES, INC — FOR
THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) POSTAGE METER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period commencing
October 1, 1977, and ending September 30, 1978, be, and the same is
hereby, amended by transferring $5,000 from the Contingency Account to
Account No. 16-509. Said transfer is an unforeseen item of expenditure
and is an established emergency of the City of Beaumont because the
City's postage meter is unusable.
Section 2.
That the bid of Pitney -Bowes, Inc. in the amount of
$5,033.50 for one (1) postage meter be, and the same is hereby,
accepted and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to
pay Pitney Bowes, Inc. the sum of $5,033.50 for said postage meter
upon acceptable delivery.
