HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 81-BORD" 91-13 AN ORDINANCE. Fixing the salaries of the elective officers of th= City of Beaumont, Texas, for the term beginning April, 1916, and 'ending April 1918. BE IT ORDAINED BY THF CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That the salaries and' fees of., office to be paid t o the respective off cial.s of the City of Beaumont for the term commencing April, 1916, and. ending April, 1918, shell be and the same are hereby fixed at the following amounts :-- MAYOR The Ilayor shall receive'.a salary of � 3 u no per annum, and shall receive no other fee's or perquis ites o any kind. in add iti on thereto. CH�:F . OF POLICE: The Chief of Police shall receive a salary of per annum; and no fees ox perq_uis ites of ahy' kind, and all fee -s assessed and collected in favor 'of the, Chief of Police shall be assessed and collected for , and on behalf of the City, and shall be paid, into th-e Genex al Fund of the; City. CITY .TREASURER. The City Treasurer shall receive as al ary of per annum, and no fees or commission., CITY ATTO�T EY . The , ' ceive a salary of ti �- 06, - per En num- .and. all receive the _fee s in _ .ax_ .suits, as heretofze ,by.the Charter; and all other fees and perqu c ua ' ..o said officer shall hereafter be paid into the General Fund of the City. Section 2 -All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hweby repeal,ed•and held for naught. Section 3.Owing to t be Charter provision of the City of BeaTmont requiring that the salaries and fees of offi ee ' of all officers of said City shall he determined bey the City Council at least one month previous to their election, an imperative emergency and necessity exists requir ing the suspension of tha rule: requir ing ordinancesto be read Et three, separate meetings.
