Company the.right and privilege 'to abandon that portion
of its Sabine line now .lying and. being situated on Doucette
Avenue in the city of Beaumont; being all the line of said
Company on Doucette Atenue and West on the point where
Irving Street interseate said Doucette Avenue:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or, THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1. That the Beaumont Traction
Company be and is hereby granted.. the" right to abandon and
take up all of ,that portion of its track lying and being'
situated upon Doucette Avenue, aid ;lest of the point where
Irving Street intersects -4th said Doucette Avenue.

WHEREAS in the ordinance granting to .the Beaumont
Traction Company the right to construct, reconstruct, operate
and .maintain a� -street, railway.: -system -in -the - City: -of --Beaumont,
passed and approved January 3, 19119 it was provided by see
tion. 3 thereof,- among other things -that the streets over .a#d.
upon which the rights and privileges granted by that ordinance
should extend should be such of the streets within the oorp.or-
-ate limits .of the City of Beaumont, other than those 'speeifi-
cally named in: said franchise, as may be, designated by resolu-
tion -or ordinance of the City Council of ,the City of Beaumont
,as street$,upon which tha said street railway system may be
extended; and

ordinance; --among other things, thaat the Beaumont Trabtion' Com- .

the. City Council of the. City of Baaumont to designate

street .railwa.y system may be extended, and has requested per-
mission to construct a turn -out on Irving Street;
NOW, V-11BRErORE9 be it RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Beaumont in regular meeting convened;
(1) That Doucette .Avenue from'the intersection of
that Avenue with Irving Street east to the city limits of the
City of Beaumont be and the some hereby is designated as a
street upon which the street railway system of the Beaumont
Traction Company may be extended as shown on the blue print
atad ed a and made a parthereof.,,
