-Apportioning a tax of thirty-four and nine tenths ($.349)
cents on -each one hundred -dollars (0100.000 valuation on
-all taxable property within of the City of
Beaumont, Texas, heretofore levied and ordered collect -ed
by an or divance passed by the City Council of the City
of Beaumont, .on the .19th day of October, 1915, repealing
all laws in conflict herewith and declaring an a mergency.

SECTION I.
That the. tax of thirty-four and nine tenths ($.349)
cents on each one hundred dollars, (100.00). valuation on all
taxable property *i.thin. the limits 'of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
heretofore. levied. and ordered collected by an- ordinance passed
by the City Council of the City- of Beaumont, on the 19th day
of October, 1915, be, -and the. same ,is hereby apportioned among the vaz_a .
rious .interests and bond sinking hands as follows:
To the interest- and sinking fund of Water -W orks and. Street
paving bonds,. dated 'August lst, 1898, three and :six -tenths (.0036)
-mills.
-To the interest and sinking fund of - refo:nding bonds dated April
1st, , 1899, three and, -six -tenths (,0036) -mills.,
To the interest and sinking fund -of Funding Bonds No.l,
dated August 5th 1899-, three and four -tenths ( .0034) mills.
To the interest and sinking -fund of funding bonds No. 2, deed.

That the -city tax assessor and .collector is. hereby instruct-
ed to pro rate the said sum of thirty four cents and -nine mills
(i349) according to -the pr ovisi ons of this -or 0 i-nance and . to so
prepare his statement and reports to the city treasurer that.
said -officer may be able to place -all coll.ections.made under
said tak to the credit of the. proper fund-, and `the- same shall
not be diverted- or -use d.,for any other purpose.
Section 3:
That all laws -and parts of laws in conflict h er-ewith be
and _t he same ,are, hereby repealed,in -so far as they. conflict
with this ordinance.
Section -4.
The .fact- -that no apportionment -has .been made, of the thirty
four cents and nine. mills,levied this day, in order to take.
care of -the interest and • prov i_d.e sinking funds fore the b onded
indebtedness of the -city of Beaumont creates a public, nece"ssity'
and imperatdve public emergency,necessitating the suspension of
the rule requiring ordinances to be' read at three -regular. --meetings.
Said rule is therefore- hereby suspended and this ordinance shall ,
go into -'-full effect and force from and -after its lawful passage,
and publicat ion:. - J.

tache d ordinance , appor tinging tLhe thirty four- cents and nine
mills,levied to provide the interest and sinking fund for the
bonded indebtedness of the city of, Beaumont, to the various
bond funds, beg to report' that we -}lave duly considered sai d
ordinance,and recommend that, it 'be adopted,under a -suspension
of the rule,req_uiring ordinances to be read at tbree regular
meetings.
