ORDINANCE NO; 1117 '11;2
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROGRAM
AND POLICY OF RESIDENTIAL STREET PAVING
ASSESSMENT AS PASSED DECEMBER 11, 1973,
PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION OF ASSESSMENT PAVING
LIEN RELEASES BY THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDNG
STANDARDS FOR SAID EXECUTION; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont on
December 11, 1973, by ordinance, promulgated a Residential Street
Paving Assessment Program and Policy in order to implement a workable
paving assessment program under which citizens may obtain assistance
from the City in the paving of residential streets; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for the
execution by the City.Manager of the City of Beaumont of assessment
paving lien releases when the total amount due the City of Beaumont
has been paid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:

THAT the City Manager of the City of Beaumont be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute in behalf of the City of Beaumont all releases
of assessment paving liens discharging all paving liens against any
and all real estate when and if all amounts due the City under the
Assessment Paving Program and Policy have been paid.

All
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
