Gasolehe, Benzine, Carbon Disulphide, (High Life) , .Naptha, or other fluids ( except Alcahal-, denatured or ..otherwise) which., at ordinary temperatures, give off inflamable vapors, except in medal cans or storage tanks approved by the National Board of Fine Underwriters,' and installed ina standard manner, -providing for -the installation of.- all medal cans_ and -storage tanks in' the City of BeaumonLt, providing a penalty for the -vi ola.tion of any- provision to this ordinance, Arid.decTar ink an :;ergenoy. BE IT ORDAINED BY T.HE CITY COUNCIL -OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: -SECTION OlTE-- Th at it sha 11 -b e unlawful for any per so n, f i rm or corporation to keep or store on any premises i.n the City of Beaumont, any gasolene, benzine, carbon disulphide ( high life) , naptha, or other fluids (except alcohol, denature -d or -otherwise ) which, at ordinary temperatures, give off inflta.mable vapors, except in medal' cans and storage tanks, approved by the National Board of Fire Underwriters. -SECTION-_Tff0_ That all me da.l cans or storage tanks shall .b e in- stalled in a standard manner as provided by the rules of the National Board of Fire)Underwriters. SECTION THREE - That any person, firm or corporation, who shall violate any of the provisions. of this. ordinance shall. be deemed guilty, of. a misdemeanor , and 'upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not more- than two hundred. ($200..00) Doll Ars, and each _day that such violatiori thereof continues shall constitute a separate_ offense and sub jec"t the vi'ol,tor to a separate penalty therefor. --SECT ION FOUR- ffhereas the fact that the City of Beaumont now has no adequate ord.ianaces covering the keeping and stor ing ' of gasolene, benzine ; carbon di sulphirle ' ( high life) , naptha, or- other fluids, except (ilcohal, denatured or otherwise) which_; 'at ordinary ten- peratures, .giveoff inflamable vapors, creates a public ' e.morgency and imperative public necessity, necessitating the suspension of the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three regular meetings , w -j, f q ( 3} bf the City Council. Said rule is therefore sltspended and this or Bina ace shall bp in full force and effect from and after it*s lawful passage and publication. Passed this the �d.ay -)f September , A.D. 1915.
