.Amending Article 266 of the Revised Code of -
ordinances as codified by laessrs.Me'Dowell and Davidson
and adopted -by the City- Council of Beaumont ; -on the
7th day of February, A.D.1911; repealing all laves in
conflict herewith, and declaxing an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
SECTION 1
That -Article 266 of- Chapter 16 of the Revised
Code of Ordinances. codified. by Messrs -McDowell and
Davidson and adopted by the -City Council of B ea-amont
on the 7th day of February, A.D.1911 be and the.bame
is hereby amended. so that' it shall hereafter read as
follows:

All --laws a%d parts . of: lavas in conflict herewit-h -
are hereby .repealed.
Whereas, the fact that the 'present charges are
inadequate and. need fnxther d6fining creates- an emergency
and imperative public necessity -requiring the suspension
of the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three
regular meetings. Said rule_ is therefore hereby suspended
and this ordinance .shall be in full force and effect from
and after its lawful passage and publi.cati on:
Passed this the 2_6 day of July, A:D.1915.
Approved this the day of July, A.D.1915.
