By IT ORDAI dED BY THE CI -TY COUNCIL OF THE C-ITY OF E QTJT ONT , TEXAS: SECTION I. That it shall be unlawful for any person who shall cross any street, at its intersection with another street, in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to walk or move across said street, except in a d ire cti on at r ight angle s to the curb ing of -the street being crossed. SECTION 2. Any person violating the provisiong, of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a.misdemeaMor, and upon contiction thereof in the Corp ,r ation Court of the City of 3eagmont, - shall be fi ned. in -any sum not exceeding Two Hulia Dollar s . SECTION 3. All laws and parts of laws in conflict herekith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. There exists a p»blic emergency and imperative public necessity requiring that -the rule requiring ordinances to be read at three regular meetings be suspended; said rule is bere- by suspended and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and lawful publication.
