ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
AN UNDEVELOPED PORTION OF 12TH STREET LOCATED
SOUTH OF HOLLYWOOD STREET IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DES-
CRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain undeveloped portion of 12th Street located South
of Hollywood. Street described as follows:
Being a sixty foot (60') by five hundred
twenty-five foot (525') portion of unde-
veloped 12th Street right-of-way running
in a north/south direction beginning on
the south right-of-way line of Hollywood.
Street, a sixty foot (60') right-of-way,
and extending south for five hundred
twenty-five feet (525') bounded on the
east by Tracts 44, 45 and 48, Plat C-6,
Noah Tevis Survey of the City of Beaumont,
as per map or plat of said addition on
file in the records of the County, Texas;
be, .and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; and the City of Beaumont hereby
relinquishes any and all rights, title and interest it had or may have
in and to such street. Provided; however, that the hereinabove des-
cribed tract of land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont for
general utility purposes only, it being the intent of this ordinance
to abandon said tract of land as a right-of-way but to retain said tract
for general utility purposes only.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
