ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMaMING CHAPTER
15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS; PROVIDING A NEW DEF-
INITION OF THE WORD "TRASH"; REDEFINING
MATERIAL WHICH WILL NOT BE COLLECTED BY
THE SOLID WASTE.DEPAFM=; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Chapter 15, Section 15-1(b) of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Beaumont, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read
as follows:
Section 15-1(b) - Trash.
The term "trash" shall mean a normal
accumulation of rubbish, such as
feathers, tin cans, mufflers, tail
pipes and other small automobile parts,
paper, rags, boxes, glass, household
furnishings and appliances, tree trim-
mings and small boxes with the aggregate
pile not to exceed four (4) cubic yards
in volume.
That Chapter 15, Section 15-22 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Beaumont, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read
as follows:

lumber, dirt, plaster, sand, gravel,
large automobile parts,.scrap metal,
wire, ashes, dead animals, construction
materials, stumps, tree trunks and
other bulky or heavy material shall
not be included in the regular collection
services furnished by the Solid
Waste Department. No container
weighing over fifty (50): pounds
nor in excess of a total .of four
(4) cubic yards in volume will
be collected. The owner shall
have such debris as described
herein removed at his own expense.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and .to such end the various portions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
