ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF UNDEVELOPED CALIFORNIA STREET 967441
RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED SOUTH OF HOLLYWOOD
AVENUE IN THE WEST ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DES-
CRIBED HEREIN. I
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain portion of undeveloped California Street right-of-
way located south of Hollywood Avenue described as follows:
BEING a fifty foot (50') by one
hundred five foot (105'.) portion
of California Street right -Of -way
running in a north/south direction,
beginning at the south right-of-
way line of Brenham Street, a fifty
foot (50') right-of-way and ex-
tending south for one hundred five
feet(105') bounded on the west by
Lot 1, Block 4, West End Addition
and on the east by Lot 32, Block 3,
West End Addition as per map or
plat of said addition on file in the
records of the County Clerk of
Jefferson County, Texas, SAVE AND
EXCEPT the following.described
portion of said right-of-way:
The westernmost 25 feet thereof, it
being the intent to retain as a
sanitary sewer easement.the western-
most 25 feet of said California
Street right-of-way,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and beccue the property of the persons
entitled thereto,. as provided by law; and the City of Beaumont hereby
relinquishes any and all rights, title and interest it had or may have
in and.to such street right-of-way.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
