Section 1.
That Article 818, Chapter 39 of the Re-
vised Code of Ordinances of the City of Bear-nollt
be amended to hereafter react as follows:
Article 818. Street cars shall stop
on the far side of the street at the crossing to
discharge or receive passenger, Provided that on
streets where street c�,.-r tracks cross railroad
tracks, cars shall stop on the near side of the
street; and provided further, that south bound
cars of the Beaumont Traction. Co n-pany on Pearl
Street shall stop on the near side of College St.

on the east side of ',magnolia at point of switch.

The fact that there now exists an ordi-
nance requiring street.:cars to stop on the far
side of the. street, aiad believing that this, in
some cases, prevents' iiiaking the schedi,cle as 'pro-
mulgated b�T the City Council, creates an emergency,
and the r�,le reL,�uiring ordinances' to be read at
three se -carate meetings be suspended, and this
ordinance be in force and _effect from_ and-af't_er
its -passage, a-proval by the "ayor, and lawful pub-
lication.
