Lumber Company, and' from a, point on .its'main line to the mills pf
the ReliaAce Lumber Company and from a point of Jdrz connection
with its said track reaching dotivn Main street to the Mills of the
Texas Tram .& Lumber Comp an y.
WHEREAS the Texas• & New Orleans Rail road Company many
years ago constructed and has ever since :owned and.maintained
a track extending . from A point of 'connection . with its main line near .
its freight station in Beaumont into and- along Main Street to the . .
Mills of the Beaumont Lumber Company and another track extending
.from a point of connection with its -main line near Teavis Street
across certain property and into the mills of the Reliance Lumber
Company; and another track- from a point of connection with the t"rack.>';'�; =?
reaching into and along Main street thence into the mills of the
Rexa s Tram &c Lumber Co.; and Whereas 'some ' of• such tracks were
constructed before the city of Beaumont vias. incorporated; and
Whereas, the question has been raised respecting the ri ght of said
company to own maintain and operate said tracks,• but' saidcompany
claims such right and "it is believed to legally ek.ist, and it is
deemed to the interest of all concerned that all such question shall
be removed.
No,W THEREFOIE be it ordained by the City. Council. o f the: ' T.- Ci ty
of Beaumont,
Section 1. That the ri ght of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company
to own,' ape -rate and maintain the track extending from a point of
connection with its main line near its f - eight tation in Beaumont
into and along Main street to the mills of theBeaumont Lumber Co.,
and the track ext.ending.from a point of connection, with its main
line near Travis street. across certain 'troperty .and into the mills
of the reliance Lumber Co., and the track from. a point of connec-
tion with the track above mentioned, reaching into. and along Main

2-street, thence into the mills of the Texas Tram & Lumber Co., all
such tracks being in the City of Beaumont, be and the same .is hereby
recognized, ratified and -confirmed.
Section 2. That this ordinance take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
-I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of an ordinence passed by the City Council of the City of
.Beaumont. The same -being on record on pages 191 and 192 Book of the
Charter & Ordinances of the City of Beaunont.
