ORDINANCE NO. 7 U -,
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AmENNDING CHAPTER 25
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONI', TEXAS, TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALE OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT SPECIFIED LOCATIONS
AT FAIR PARK; PROVIDING FOR.SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont is hereby amended by amending Sectioh 25-8(h) to read as
follows:
Section 25-8(h) - Alcoholic Beverages.
No person shall sell, consume, or possess any
alcoholic beverage within any park of the City.
The prohibition against sale, consumption and
possession of alcoholic beverages shall not
apply inside the Harvest Club, the.YMBL Building
or the Arena at Fair Park, specifically in-
cluding the area enclosed within the fence sur-
rounding the Arena at Fair Park. The prohibition
against the consumption and possession of alco-
holic -beverages at Fair Park shall not apply
inside any permanent building, except concession
stands at Fair Park..
That if any section, subsection,_ sentence., clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the variousportions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

Section 4.
Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of
the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,..Texas.
