ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANM14 NG A
TWENTY FOOT (20Q') BY THREE HUNDRED FOOT OGG' )
ALLEY, PROVIDING THAT A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT
IS RETAINED, IN THE CARTWRIGHT ADDITION IN BEAU-
MONT, JEFFERSON ODUNTY,TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEFE-
IN.
BE IT ORDA M BY THE CITY OF BEAU14ONT:
THAT that certain twenty foot (20-1). by three hundred foot (30G') alley
described as follows:
BEING a twenty foot (20L') by three hundred foot
(340-1) alley running in an East/West direction
and being located in Block 17 of the Cartwright
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, as per map or plat of said Addi-
tion on file in the records of the County Clerk
of Jefferson County, Texas, said B16Gk�17 being
further bounded by Avenue G, Corley, Avenue H,
and Foch Streets;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to such pro-
perty shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto,
as provided by law; providing, however, that the hereinabove -described tract
of land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont for general utility pur-
poses only, it being the intent of this ordinance to abandon said tract of
land as an alley but to retain the said tract for general utility purposes
only; title to such property, other than the rights retained by the City of
Beaumont herein, shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled
thereto, as provided by law.
