ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TEE BUDGET
FOR THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL
PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1975, AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1976, BY TRANSFERRING
$20,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY
ACCOUNT TO ACCOUNT NO. 79-415 FOR THE DE-
FENSE OF RATE LITIGATION WITH ENTEX, INC.
WHEREAS, on July 20, 1976, $40,000 was transferred from the General
Fund Contingency Account to Account No. 79-415 for use in payment of
expenses for the defense of rate litigation with Entex, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the amount of $40,000 has proved to be inadequate; and,
WHEREAS, this expenditure is an unforeseen item of expenditure and
is an established emergency of the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period conanencing
October 1, 1975, and ending September 30, 1976, be, and the same is .hereby
amended by transferring $20,000 from the General Fund Contingency Account
to Account No. 797-415 for expenses of the defense of rate litigation with
Entex, Inc.
