ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 BY
ADDING A NEW SECTION 11-68 CONCERNING GROUND
FAULT CIRCUIT INTERCEPTORS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

That Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be,
and the same is hereby, amended by adding a new Section 11-68 to read as
follows:
Section 11-68 - Article 210-8(b) of the National
Electrical Code is excluded for use
on temporary contraction poles. The use of ground
fault circuit interceptors is reserved to the option
of the electrical contractor.

That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or
circumstances, should for any reason beheld to be invalid, such invalidity
shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to
such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
