ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE MENDING CHAPTER ll,. SECTION
11-18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT; PROVIDING FOR STAGGERED TERMS FOR THE
STAGGERED TERMS FOR THE -MEMBERS OF THE ELECTRICAL
BOARD OF REVIEW; PROVIDING FOR REMOVAL; PROVIDING
FOR THE -FILLING OF VACANCIES; PROVIDING FOR NO
COMPENSATION;. PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING' FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

That Chapter 11, Section 11-18 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Beaumont be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 11-18 - Of the five (5) members of the
Electrical Board of Review appointed, two (2) shall
be appointed for a term of three (3) years, two (2)
for a term of two (2) years and one (1) for a term
of one (1) year, and thereafter, they may be ap-
pointed for terms of three (3) years. Any member
of the Board may be removed by the governing body
of the City for cause. Vacancies within the Board
shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired
term. The members of the Board shall serve without
compensation.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or
circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity
shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to
such.end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.

Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
