HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 76-75c� `% 1Q ;i" ORDINANCE NO. 74-7,5- 928689 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDON- ING A PORTION OF PRUTZMAN ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED IN THE 6400 BLOCK OF PRUTZMAN ROAD BETWEEN CALDER AVENUE AND DOWLEN ROAD TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT IS RETAINED, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT that certain portion of Prutzman Road right-of-way located in the 6400 Block of Prutzman Road between Calder_ Avenue and Dow - len Road is described as follows: BEING a 5,570 square foot parcel of land out'of the H. Williams Survey, Abstract 56, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to wit: BEGINNING at the most northerly northwest corner of the herein described tract, said corner being in the southwesterly line of Lot 3, Block 2, Westgate City to The City of Beaumont, plat of which appears in Vol- ume 10, Page 170 of the Map Records of Jef- ferson County, Texas, said corner being lo- cated South fifty degrees forty minutes thirty seconds East (S 50° 40' 30" E) for a distance of two and eleven hundredths feet (2.11') from the most northwest corner of said Lot 3, Block 2, Westgate City; THENCE with the southwesterly line of Lot 3, Block 2, South fifty degrees forty min- utes thirty seconds East (S 50° 40' 30" E) for a distance of fifty-three and eight hundredths feet (53.081) to the southwes- terly corner of said Lot 3, Block 2; THENCE with the south line of said Block 2, Westgate City and along the north right-of- way line of Prutzman Road, North eighty-nine degrees forty-two minutes zero seconds East (N 890 42' 00" E) for a distance of five hundred nineteen and twenty-seven hundredths feet (519.271) to the point of intersection of the north line of Prutzman Road with the northerly line of Calder Avenue; THENCE South seventy-one degrees thirty- three minutes thirty seconds West (S 710 33' 30" W) for a distance of fifteen feet (.15') toa point for corner; THENCE South.eighty-nine degrees forty-two minutes zero seconds West (S 89° 42' 00_" W), said course being twenty-five feet (25') dis- tant more or less from the centerline of Prutzman Road pavement as constructed on the ?a �7s7-- 6-7� s7 ground for a distance of three hundred forty-three and seventy-four hundredths feet (343,741) to a point of curvature of a curve to the left having a central angle of fifteen degrees fifty-four min- utes nineteen seconds (151 54' 19") and a radius of two hundred twenty-five feet (225'); THENCE along the arc of said curve whose long chord bears South eighty-one degrees forty-four minutes fifty seconds West (S 819 44' 50!' W) -for an arc distance of six- ty-two and forty-six hundredths feet (62.- 46') to a point of reverse curve of a curve to the right having a central angle of fifteen degrees thirty minutes nineteen seconds (151 30' 19") and a radius of one hundred seventy-five feet (175'); THENCE along said curve to the right whose long chord bears South eighty-one degrees thirty-two minutes ninety seconds West (S 81" 32' 90" W) for an arc distance of forty- seven and thirty-six hundredths feet (47.36') to a point of tangency; THENCE continuing west parallel to and twen- ty-five feet (251) distant from the center- line of said Prutzman Road pavement South eighty-nine degrees eighteen minutes zero seconds West (S 89° 18' 00" W) for a dis- tance of one hundred one and eighty-four hundredths feet (101.84') to a point for corner; THENCE North seven degrees eleven minutes zero seconds East (N 07° 11' 00" E) paral- lel to and seven and five tenths feet (7.5') distant from the east back of curb line of Dowlen Road pavement for a distance of fifty- four and seventy-one hundredths feet (54.71') to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; CONTAINING IN AREA 5,570 square feet of land, more or less be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained by The City of Beaumont for general utility purposes only, it be- ing the intent of this ordinance to abandon said tract of land but to retain the said tract for general utility purposes only; title to such property, other than the rights retained by The City of -2- Beaumont herein, shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law.
