ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL.PERIOD BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 1975 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,,1976,
BY TRANSFERRING THE TOTAL SUM OF $91,500.00 TO
THE SAFETY DMIONSTRATION PROJECTS ACCOUNT;
$82,350.00 TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE FEDERAL -
AID HIGHWAY ACT SECTION 230 FUNDS AND $9,150.00.
TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM ACCOUNT 38-315; AUTHORIZING
THE PAYMENT OF LOCAL MATCH FUNDS AS REQUIRED BY
THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANS-
PORTATION TO THE TREASURER, ACCOUNT OF TRUST FUND
92T AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL TO
EXECUTE AN AGRFEIVIENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR SIX
PAVEMENT MARKING IMPROVEMENT. PROJECTS .
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation
has notified the City of Beaumont that six (6) pavement improvement
projects have been approved for the following streets:
Eleventh, College to Delaware;
Washington, Railroad to Fourth;
Lucas, Eastex to Magnolia;
Stagg, IH -10 to Eighth Street;
Fourth, Cardinal Drive to Washington Boulevard;
Magnolia, East Lucas to Laurel; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer of a total
of $91,500.00 to the Safety Demonstration Project Account, $82,350.00
of said sum to be transferred from the Federal -Aid Highway Act, Section
230 Funds Account and $9,150.00 to be transferred from Account 38-315 to
be used in said pavement marking improvement project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to
make said budgetary amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the budget of the City .of Beaumont for the fiscal period beginning
October 1, 1975 and ending September 30, 1976, be, and the same is hereby
amended, by transferring $91,500.00 to the Safety Demonstration Project
Account; $82,350.00 to be transferred from Federal -Aid Highway Act Section

230 Funds and $9.150.00 to be transferred from Account .38-315. The
City of Beaumont is hereby authorized to pay its local match funds as
required by the State Department .of Highways and Public Transportation
to the State Treasurer Account of .Trust Fund 927 and the Mayor and
City Council of the City of Beaumont are hereby authorized to execute
all necessary agreements with the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation for said pavement marking in-provement projects.
