ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE APYIENIDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1975, AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1976, BY TRANSFERRING THE TOTAL
SUM OF $180,300.00 TO AN ACCOUNT FOR SAFETY
DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS; $162,270.00 SHALL BE
TRANSFERRED TO THE SAFETY DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS
ACCOUNT FROM FEDERAL AID HIGIWAY ACT SECTION 230
FUNDS AND $18,030.00 SHALL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE
SAFETY DEMONSTRATION PROJECT ACCOUNT FROM UNAL-
LOCATED TRAFFIC CONTROL FUNDS, ACCOUNT NO.
074-99-999; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF LOCAL MATCH
FUNDS AS REQUIRED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO THE STATE
TREASURER; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS
WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HICHWAYS AND PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer of $162,270.00
from Federal Aid Highway Act Section 230 funds to an account for Safety Demon-
stration Projects; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has further recommended the transfer of
$18,030.00 from unallocated traffic control funds in Account No. 074-99-999 to
said Safety Demonstration Projects Account; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to
make said budgetary amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period beginning October
1, 1975, and ending September 30, 1976, be, and the same is hereby amended, by
transferring $162,270.00 from Federal Aid Highway Act Section 230 funding to an
account for Safety Demonstration Projects and $18,030.00 from unallocated traffic
control funds in Account No. 074-99-999 to said Safety Demonstration Project
Account. The City Manager be, and he is'hereby, authorized to make payment of
local match funds as required by the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation to the State Treasurer to be paid into Trust Fund Account No. 927.

The appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to execute agreements with
the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation as necessary for the
construction of the Safety Demonstration Projects provided for in the grant
which provided the Federal Aid Highway Act Section 230 funding.to the City of
Beaumont.
