ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDON-
ING A SIXTY FOOT BY THREE HUNDRED FIFTY FOOT
(60' X 350'),PORTION OF ARCHIE STREET, PRO-
VIDING THAT A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT IS RE-
TAINED IN THAT SIXTY FOOT BY THREE HUNDRED
FIFTY FOOT (60' X 3501) PORTION OF ARCHIE
STREET, CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING THAT
PROPERTY OWNERS OF SAID REVERSIONARY INTEREST
BE AUTHORIZED TO PHYSICALLY .CLOSE SAID POR-
TION OF SAID STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain sixty foot by three hundred fifty foot (60' X 350')
portion of Archie Street described as follows:
THAT portion of Archie Street in the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, being ap-
proximately sixty feet by three hundred fifty
feet (60' X 350'), from the south right-of-
way line of Gilbert Street to, the north right-
of-way line of Milam Street; -
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the
hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained by The
City of Beaumont for general utility purposes only, it being the in-
tent of this ordinance to abandon said portion of Archie Street but
to retain the said tract for general utility purposes only; title to
such property, other than the rights retained by The City of Beaumont
herein, shall revert to and become the property of the persons entit-
led thereto, as provided by law; and, providing, further, that the
owners to whom this property shall revert are hereby authorized to
physically close said portion of Archie Street so abandoned.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of The City of Beaumont this the
