ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDON-
ING A FIFTY FOOT BY SIX HUNDRED EIGHT FOOT
(50' X 608') PORTION OF GLADYS STREET, PRO-
VIDING,THAT A GENERAL UTILITY EASEM-ENT IS
RETAINED, IN THE MOCKINGBIRD LANE SUBDIVI-
SION IN BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain fifty foot by six hundred eight foot (50' X 6081)
portion of Gladys Street described as follows:
BEING a dedicated right-of-way and being a
portion of Gladys Street within the Mocking-
bird Lane Subdivision of the City of Beau-
mont,'and being approximately fifty feet by
six hundred eight feet (50' X 608') running
generally in an east -west direction, and a-
butting the north line,of Lot 1 and the north
line of Lot 10, the entire length of said
boundary lines of said lots of the Mocking-
bird Lane Subdivision, and further abutting
the northern terminal point of Cherokee Lane,
said Cherokee Lane lying between said Lots 1
and 10 of said subdivision;
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the
hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained by The City
of Beaumont for general utility purposes only, it being the intent of
this ordinance to.abandon said tract of land as an undeveloped portion
of a street but to retain the said tract for general utility purposes
only; title to such property, other than the rights retained by The
City of Beaumont herein, shall revert to and become the property of
the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law.
