ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET. OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 1975 AND ENDING SU:)T FR 30; 1976, BY
TRANSFERRING THE SUMS OF $95,000.00 -AND $805,000.00
FROM UNAPPROPRIATED BOND FUNDS FOR THE FAIR PARK IM-
PROVEMENTS TO ACCOUNT NO. 45-P-01; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE -A CONTRACT WITH DICKSON,
DICKSON AND BULLOCK INCREASING ARCHITECTURE FEES
FOR'THE COVERED ARENA AT FAIR PARK..
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer of Nine
Hundred Thousand and No/100 ($900,000.00) Dollars frau unappropriated bond
funds for Fair Park improvements to -Account No. 45-P-01,-Ninety=Five
Thousand and No/100 ($95,000.00) .Dollars to be used for -:architect and
engineering fees and Eight Hundred Five Thousand and No.100 ($805,000.00)
Dollars to be used -for arena construction; -and,
WHEREAS, the'City'Council desires to authorize the City Manager to
execute an amendment to the contract.with.Dickson, Dickson and Bullock,.
Architects and Engineers increasing the architecture fee for architecture
services to be rendered in the construction of the covered arena at Fair
Park as a result of an increase in the construction budget for the project,
from Fifty -Seven Thousand and No/100 ($571000.00) Dollars to Eighty'Thousand
and No/100 ($80,000.00) Dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont, for the fiscal period be-
ginning October -1,1975 and ending September 30, 1976, be, and the same is
hereby amended, by transferring $95,000.00 from unappropriated bond funds for
Fair Park improvements to Account No. 45-P-01 for the payment of architecture
and engineering fees in the construction of the covered arena at Fair Park
and further by transferring $805,000.00 from unappropriated bond funds for
Fair Park improvements to Account No. 45-P-01 for arena construction,
BE IT FURTf1ER ORDAINED by the City of Beaumont, that the. City
Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into an amendment to the
contract with Dickson, Dickson and Bullock increasing architecture fees
on the construction of the covered arena at Fair Park from $57,000,00 to
$80,000.00.
