ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
TEN FOOT (10'): BY THREE.HUNDRED FOOT (300') ALLEY,
IN IM LANGHAIA ADDITION, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT SUCH ALLEY BE RETAINE D AS A GENERAL
UTILITY EASEMENT, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
THAT that certain ten foot (10') by three hundred foot (300') alley easement
described as follows:
BEING a ten foot (10') by three hundred foot (300')
wide alley lying witzin.the block bounded by
Langham Avenue, Park Street, Royal Street and
Neches Street, said alley abutting Lots 45-54,
Block 6, Langham Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, as per map or plat of
said.Addition filed of Record in the Deed Records
of Jefferson County, Texas;
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to such property
shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as
provided by law; providing, however, that the hereinabove described tract of
land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont for general utility purposes
only, it being the intent of this Ordinance to abandon said tract of land as an
alley but to retain the said tract for general utility purposes only; title to
such property, other than the rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein,
shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as
provided by law.
